Bio

            The Babb’s are no strangers to SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC. Although they have been singing together for fourteen years, their roots go much farther. Brenda Faye has been singing since she was only three years old. She was raised in The Church of God of Prophecy and began singing there at church by herself as well as with her mother and sister. Brenda and her mother and sister would sing on the radio each Sunday on the church radio program. Brenda has sang on the stage of The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee in a competition where she placed very well.

Dave was also raised in the same church as Brenda, and started out playing drums in his uncle’s band. “The Gospel Mountain Boys”, as well as with other groups in the area. Dave is very talented as he plays the drums, and the bass guitar. He has taught others to play as well.

The Babb’s main goal is the see souls saved and people blessed. They have traveled all over to bring their ministry to others. They have sang in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, West Virginia, and Canada.

We have been blessed beyond measure, says Brenda. In September 6 2014, we won “2014 Vocal Duo of the year” in Traditional Gospel, with The GGCBA (Georgia Gospel Country & Bluegrass Association) Award Show in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

October 4’ 2014, we won a certificate for being in the top ten in the “2014 vocal Duo category” in The GME (Gospel Music Express) Showcase Award Show, in Ringgold Georgia.

 And March 15’ 2015, In the GGCBA/NACMAI (North American Country Music Association International) Award Show at “The Country Tonight Theatre”, we won “2015 Vocal Duo of the Year” for the USA and Canada in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  

September 26’ 2015, we won “2015 Vocal Duo of the Year” in the New Gospel category, with the GGCBA (Georgia Gospel Country & Bluegrass Association) Award Show in Chattanooga Tennessee.

October 10’ 2015, we won “2015 Vocal Duo of the Year” in The GME AWARD SHOW in Dalton, Georgia.

March 13’ 2016, we won for “2016 Most Promising Duo of the Year” in The NACMAI (North American Country Music Association International) held in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!

August 27’ 2016, we won for “2016 CD of The Year for, Didn’t I Walk on the Water” with the GGCBA Award Show in Ringgold, Georgia

August 27’ 2016, won for “2016 Top Performer Duo of the Year” With the GGCBA Award Show in Ringgold, Georgia

March 19’ 2017, Won “2017 Duo of the Year” in Pigeon Forge Tennessee at NACMAI (North American Country Music Association International)

October 7’ 2017, we won “2017 Vocal Duo of the Year” with the GGCBA in Ringgold, Georgia

Also Brenda won “2017 Female Vocalist of the Year”

She also won for “2017 Female Entertainer of the Year” 

   Besides being Award winning Artist, The Babb’s are a “Southern Gospel Music Ministry” that is made up of Dave and Brenda Faye Babb. The Babb’s mix consist of the smooth bass voice of David with the pure southern voice of Brenda Faye to provide listeners with a unique sound. They sing country gospel, and southern gospel music, with a little touch of the blues. Overall, The Babb’s will leave their listeners feeling good about their walk with Christ and encouraged through the hard times in their walk.
